Kathy Follett and Barbara Wilcox conducted this year's youth music camp, sponsored by the Newport Symphony Orchestra at the Ocean. Twelve students participated, playing violin, cello, bass, piano, and percussion. Instruction included learning to play with another musician, composing simple pieces, writing music to poetry, and rehearsing and performing music from Broadway. Thanks to Jeannette Hofer for supporting this year's music camp and to First Presbyterian Church, Newport for making available their wonderful facility.
